Rhonda J. Sears is a Homewood native who was a 2009 inductee of the Westinghouse High School Wall of Fame and 2018 Volunteer of the Year, Clean Pittsburgh Commission. She furthered her education by earning a Bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, GSPIA. She is currently employed with Pittsburgh Public Schools in the Minority Women Business Department.

She is the CEO of RICH, a non-profit in memory of her brother, Richard W Sears, who was murdered in Homewood, PA in 1986. Rhonda is a Managing Partner in Mulford Consulting and Landscaping which is connected to RICH’s youth and workforce development programs. She has been operating the Mulford Community Teaching Garden since 2008 which has evolved into a massive display of colorful flowers, fresh vegetables, a place of serenity, and more.

She has a passion for advising youth interested in pursuing post-secondary education and teaching them the reward of receiving scholarships. She is an advocate for Homewood community pride and economic growth.
